| http://www.w3.org/ns/prov#value | - It is for safety reasons; I believe if an armed door is opened from the outside some door types will disarm, others it is much easier for the ground-staff to checked the 'girt bar' (the bar that attaches the slide to the aircraft) is not still in place, where as the crew can not see this as easily from the inside a double precaution if you will.
