| http://www.w3.org/ns/prov#value | - On the substance of the post, I???ll mostly stay out, but from my childhood reading about US naval warfare in the Pacific during WWII, battleships and cruisers were obviously less important than carriers and subs, but they were necessary to protect the carriers from enemy surface ships and provided some antiaircraft screening and they did participate in some surface battles with Japanese cruisers
