| http://www.w3.org/ns/prov#value | - sigh. no it is not genetic. 1800's and earlier pink was associated with males (red is a strong color) and blue was associated with girls (blue as in the sky, pure, tranquil). obviously our society has thus changed the meaning of the colors, so now we are socially conditioned to think girls have to like pink.
