  • its a usb2.0 drive. wd used to be the recommended brand for wiis. nowadays, people go with whats cheap. im not sure if that drive is encrypting data or not VIA the hardware controller. another user who had this issue had success in sort of resolving this issue. what he did was hit the power button on the hard drive when usb loader gx came up.
