  • As for honours, I think the UK system needs updating and making more for fit for purpose for the modern world ??? but I do think there is a place (as most nations including the US have) for nations to recognises bravery, contribution to society, meritorious conduct, charitable acts etc etc not for distinction apart and seperate from society but out of recognition of doing something special.
