Working with iron and a variety of materials including sackcloth and wood, Seydi creates mythological half animal, half human figures in installations inspired by Wolof folk tales and through his exposure to L??opold S??dar Senghor and Abdoulaye Sadji's collection of folk tales Leuk le Li??vre written in 1953 to both teach French and reconnect Senegalese students with their oral folk history.
