  • This is partly where the TDS myth comes from as pools high in TDS (beyond that accounted for by explicit initial chemical addition) would more likely have more of everything in them, including some organics that could behave like CYA and tie up chlorine while still getting measured as FC. Fortunately, we have not seen this in residential pools reported on these forums.
