  • ah, well... i sometimes use reference, but he is indicated in the descriptions of the images i post. most of the time i don't.. i just sort of wing it and see what i like! it did help that i did a lot of cel shading a few years back, like this [link] just using solid blocks of color to shade. now, i combine softer shadows with harder blocks which helps define the lighting in my images.
