  • Their behavior is not particularly surprising or enlightening, as we already know that evolution works when given a sufficiently gradual evolutionary path from A to B. The real question is whether such paths exist for all observed biological structures. (I suppose the EIL would also ask whether we would expect such paths to exist without having been designed.)
