  • That leads me to believe that the difference in cost between the actual electronics between L1 and L2 would be fairly minor (maybe $100?) So if you are going to spend that kind of money on a charger (based on the theories above most of the cost is to ruggedize the unit), you may as well make it L2 (maybe limited current though for large scale installations) in the first place.
