In addition to the parent education service described herein, many of the parents received additional services such as a support worker (who helped with aspects of daily living such as budgeting, finding accommodations, and employment), public health nurse (available to all high-risk families), and a visiting homemaker (to keep the home clean and teach domestic skills).
