  • The examples I can think of are a bit esoteric, but none-the-less here you have them: ???Ohm???s Law??? in electricity, ???Hooke???s Law??? in elasticity theory; these are in fact not ???laws??? in the common sense, but we don???t change the name (out of tradition I suppose?).
