  • Why not chop off the last digit of the little finger?My research, limited as it may be, has suggested that the first recorded instance of circumcision occurred in Egypt, but it offers no real insight as to why it was performed except the assumption that it was part of a religious ritual.I have my own theory on this of course, but I am interested if there is an explanation from a jewish perspective
