  • And yet it makes perfect sense that people ID as black Americans because they can still benefit from belonging to a group, for instance by forming a voting block. ???Skeptics??? and ???Atheists??? don???t make logical sense as ID categories???until you take into consideration that in many places not belonging to a religion is a disadvantage.
