  • Performance has definitely improved from the previous generation; the V-6 engine in the LS offers livelier acceleration than the previous V-6 in the G and GS. Acceleration is strictly adequate with the base engine, but the automatic transmission tends to vibrate when shifting gears and the downshifts are a little too slow for passing situations.
