  • Is there a blood test to determine if I am one of the people who do not metabolize the 2D6 enzyme properly and what pain meds (and other meds, i.e. antidepressants) do not use this enzyme? (Not, of course, that I am likely to get my HMO to order the test even it is exists, they already know I am anxious, and are likely to just laugh at the neurotic woman bringing in info from the internet.
