  • Most silicon transistors start to turn ON when the base voltage reaches 0.65v. But some transistors start at 0.55v. And some transistors are fully turned on at 0.7v while others need 0.75v. These different voltages are not important in most cases except for the circuit above that keeps the transistor turned off until required.
