  • Though both of joints 21 and 24 are shown achieving connection of catheters 10 and 20 without causing bumps or other undesirable deformations along the outer or inner surface of the resulting catheter, a comparison of FIGS. 4a and 4b clearly reveals that joint 24 of this invention results in a much greater cross-sectional area of joinder than does the prior art joint 21.
