  • I am just suggesting that the pilot have discretion to act if one of those rare cases occurs.The proposed size/weight limit would have to apply to any handheld object vs device - if I can not have my behemoth laptop out, then you can not read War & Peace in hardcopy. (In both cases, it probably makes sense.) The pilot, IMHO, should ALWAYS have discretion to act when there is a situation that warrants it
