  • The crashing was due to any USB device (keyboard or mouse) plugged in, such as the mouse and keyboard that were working just fine to configure the graphical bios!So, with no mouse and just a PS/2 keyboard attached, suddenly all worked well, and I installed Windows 8 without further issue.
