| http://www.w3.org/ns/prov#value | - All OS's have there problems including iOS and none of them are perfect, in fact the problems you state are actually to do with the manufacturers and carriers not anything at all to do with the OS. There is plenty of phones and tablets that get updates in a timely fashion, just take the Asus Transformer for example, its had exemplary support worldwide and received all updates with very little delay
