  • the only test that counts is using a straight edge or meter to detect relief. by fretting the first and last fret ~19th, the string becomes that straight edge and shows you clearly if you have relief. if the string is on the frets, then correct, you have no relief, and the guitar should play better, if you add some. you use the correct wrench and turn the truss rod 1/4 turn Counter clockwise. you
