| http://www.w3.org/ns/prov#value | - DATE is a good alias for a date-truncated DATETIME. I am not sure if you would want to implement these in Pig... as there is clearly less utility than in a database, where for instance a TIMESTAMP can be updated whenever a field is written or updated.
