  • While it can no longer be stated conclusively that the author was a physician based on the terminology employed (Gaertner, pp. 12-13), it does show a consistency between Luke-Acts, and furthermore, the fact that this terminology differs from that used elsewhere in the New Testament adds to the probability that Luke-Acts has a common author.
