| http://www.w3.org/ns/prov#value | - I do know that the maple leaf was a recognized symbol of Canada before then, even if it wasn't (as prominently) on our flag, which is what lead to it is adoption on the Maple Leaf flag, but I wonder if it was recognized as such outside Canada.
