| http://www.w3.org/ns/prov#value | - My point - deterrence can and does work.People tend to claim that 'deterrence does not work, so the state should not kill convicts' when in fact they are simply being lazy - their argument is a moral one, but they do not want to or can not persuade others of the moral argument, so they then look around and say 'well anyway, it does not work...'.
