'95 or so... picked up the revised AD&D 2nd edition books and taught myself and some others how to play having never really heard of such a thing as a table-top RPG before then (just the Final Fantasy video games and others in the genre)....I have played all the older editions though, mostly because I have played every game I could get my grabby little hands on just to see what it was like.
