  • NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Certain types of antidepressants may not work as well in people that take painkillers such as ibuprofen and aspirin, suggests a new study.The findings can not prove that the painkillers, called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or NSAIDs, stop antidepressants from working, the authors said.
