| http://www.w3.org/ns/prov#value | - Although Bush I tried damn hard to at least keep Howard AFB open, to no avail, however thanks (1) the massive erosion of the U.S. manufacturing base and increased trade with Asia, (2) the fall of communism and the end of the cold war reducing old strategic issues, and (3) the era of military downsizing i.e. BRAC just getting started as well, which all helped ease the conservative anger, I guess.
