  • And yes, since vitamin D is a fat soluble vitamin, we must have fat in our diet to absorb it from the sun (people on low fat diets are not going to create their own vitamin D???another reason we need fat!) and when consumed as a supplement, it should only be consumed with a fat-containing meal or snack.
