  • Throughout the entire Victorian era, bracelets continued to be worn in numbers and bangles were the modish form of arm ornament, both wide and narrow, but in the 1890's narrower bangles were preferred, either designed as half-hoops adorned with diamonds and other precious stones, or as artistically chased, chiseled or engraved gold hoops.
