  • In the beech forest belt they completely cover the ridges above 1100-1200 m, while in the coniferous forest belt their lower limit is 100-150 m higher and they are partly taken over by brush, mainly by Pinus mugo, Dushekia (= Alnus) viridis (Fig. 4) and Juniperus sibirica.
