| http://www.w3.org/ns/prov#value | - I have been using microsoft operating systems since windows 3.11 and I concur that the article is 100% spot on. the registry is a database and the entries in it only become active when a program is pointed to that entry, deleting them only reduces the space taken up by them, there is no performance increase.
