(During the scoping of AR4, I suggested to one of the authors involved in the scoping that there was a real need for such a definitive exposition as many interested people were hungry for an exposition that was neither a baby-food cartoon or a bare report of a GCM run, but, unfortunately, IPCC elected not to provide such an exposition.)
