| http://www.w3.org/ns/prov#value | - Honestly, I would say it is mostly because of inertia -- going back into something like Buildcraft and redesigning the energy system would take a fair amount of time and effort (look at Thermal Expansion's solution to the matter: implement their own energy conduits; I am willing to bet that was not a rapid undertaking) and introduce a fair amount of new bugs that would need to be ironed out.
