  • Copper deficiency manifests often as kinky hairs in odd places.I find the first place this excess zinc/low copper seems to show up is the hair, particularly if one of my clients uses zinc sunscreen for a prolonged period of time (sometimes many years), she will develop those dark (or white) curly hairs, like you describe, in the overlap areas where she applies the sunscreen near her hairline.
